Five Kingdoms

Animals:

Animals can be separated into two different categories. Vertebrates and Invertebrates. Animals are living things just like humans but with a few differences.

Plant:

Plants can also be separated into two categories which are Bryophytes and Vascular. All plants are living like humans. These use photosynthesis to survive in there life. This is also why they turn green.

Fungi:

Protists:

VERTEBRATES:Vertebrate is a word to classify animals with a backbone. So this means Vertebrate means animals with a backbone. There are five types of Vertebrates.

Fish:

Fish have a backbone like all other vertebrates. They breath through their gills and swim underwater using their tail.

Birds:

Birds are warm blooded creatures that can fly. Birds lay eggs so then they are not a mammals.

Mammals:

Mammals are warm blooded creatures that give birth to their young. They also breath air sweat or pant to release all the heat that builds up in their body. Most female mammals can produce milk to feed to their young. We humans are mammals because we have these features.

Amphibians:

Amohibians spend their life on both water and land. When they are born they have a gills and a tail for their life in the water and as thy grow older they develop lungs and legs for their life on land. Amphibians are cold-blooded animals.

Reptiles:

Most reptiles lay eggs to give birth to their young. Reptiles breath through their lungs but some reptiles can gather oxygen to breath underwater. Reptiles usually have scaly skin
INVERTEBRATES: Invertebrates are animals without a backbone. This category consists of many different animals. This why there are two different categories of animals.

Worms:

A worm is a small creature which there are many different types of. For example Earthworms, Silk worms etcetera. Worms look small but they can grow very long. Worms come in different colors.

Molluscs:

Molluscs are a category of animals that includes squid, octopuses, cuttlefish, nudibranchs, snails, slugs, limpets, sea hares, mussels, clams, oysters, and scallops.

Cnidarians:

Cnidarians include the hydroids, jellyfish, anemones, and coral. All cnidarians have tentacles with stinging cells. All these Cnidarians live under water, in the ocean.

Arthropods:

The category Arthropods consists of insects, Arachnids, Crustaceans, Chilopods and Diplopods. Arthropods take up 90% of the animal kingdom with so many different animals.
